Last year I launched the ‘Explore Your Senses’ home fragrance line - a signature line of soy candles inspired by the beautiful places that life has taken me. Puglia Fig was the first candle created, homage to my father’s birthplace on the heel of the beautiful Italian boot. Second in line was Cartagena Coconut Mint, a tribute to my mother’s beautiful Colombia. There was no question that the third candle released in our signature line would pay respects to Morocco, a nation that holds a special level of significance for our family both professionally and personally. I spent many summers in Morocco and can only describe it as a visual gift for the senses - the architecture, the tiles, the ceramics, the textiles. Inspiration at every turn and in every corner. Inspiration that I have incorporated not only into the TRESSE home fragrance line with the Marrakech Orange Spice candle, but into my accessory collection as well with a series of handwoven baskets.
Today, large scale efforts are underway to address the damage caused by the earthquake on September 8th. While I only anticipate being able to make a small contribution to assist with the earthquake relief, I am offering that proceeds from any sales of our Moroccan Collection will be donated in support of this beautiful country and its people.
